- MARGASARI – Batik adalah warisan budaya Indonesia yang harus kita lestarikan. Seiring berjalannya waktu, batik kini kian beragam sesuai cara pembuatannya, salah satunya batik ecoprint. Batik ecoprint ini merupakan batik inovasi baru yang memiliki cara pembuatan yang unik yaitu memanfaatkan tumbuhan daun. Hasil dari pembuatan batik ecoprint ini terlihat berbeda seperti biasanya karena hasilnya terkesan lebih alami dan ramah lingkungan.
Dalam rangka pengenalan batik ecoprint ini kemudian dikolaborasikan dengan kegiatan P5 tema “Gaya Hidup Berkelanjutan” yang diselenggarakan sedari jum’at lalu (12/1). Kegiatan ini berlangsung selama satu minggu di Aula SMAN 1 Margasari, selain itu siswa dibekali ilmu terkait cara pembuatan batik ecoprint oleh narasumber terbaik yaitu dari Shanum Ecoprint.
Dimulai hari pertama, yaitu pengenalan konsep mengenai batik ecoprint, lalu kemudian siswa diarahkan untuk mengikuti tahapan pertama yaitu tahap pencucian kain. Kain khusus yang digunakan berupa kain primisima. Setelah itu, dilanjut dengan proses pembuatan warna dengan bahan pewarna alami yaitu kayu secang, kayu teger, tingi, dan serbuk manjakani.
Pada hari kedua, tahap pencelupan warna. Kain yang sudah dicuci, kemudian dicelupkan ke dalam pewarna alami yang sudah disiapkan selama tiga kali. Sembari menunggu kain kering, narasumber menjelaskan mengenai motif daun dan mengenalkan daun-daun apa saja yang bagus dijadikan ecoprint.
Hari selanjutnya adalah tahap penataan daun, dimana dilakukan penataan daun pada kain utama yang berwarna putih yang sebelumnya dicelup ke tunjung atau tawas, setelah itu kain utama yang sudah ditata daun ditutup dengan kain warna yang sudah dicuci dan diberi pewarna sebelumnya. Kemudian gulung kain dengan plastik menggunakan pipa gas lalu dikukus selama 2 jam. Setelah itu, kain diangkat dan mulai di buka lalu kemudian dibersihkan sisa-sisa daunnya.
“Bagian paling susah menurutku waktu menggulung kain yang udah ditempelin daun, soalnya takut nanti daunnya meleber kemana-mana” ujar salah satu siswi kelas X.
Setelah melalui proses pembuatan, hasil akhir dari batik ecoprint masing-masing kelompok yang berjumlah 30 kain dipamerkan sembari melakukan proses penilaian. Gelar Karya dari projek ini yaitu berupa “Fashion Show”, setiap perwakilan kelompok mengirimkan 1 anak untuk menjadi model dalam pelaksanaan pameran. Seluruh warga sekolah turut antusias dalam menyaksikan pameran yang dilaksanakan pada Jum’at (19/1).
