MARGASARI – Pada Minggu malam (25/2) lalu, terjadi bencana banjir di sekitar wilayah desa Prupuk Utara, Kecamatan Margasari. Derasnya hujan pada sore hari itu menerjang sungai yang ada di sekitar desa sehingga volume air sungai meningkat dan merambat dari rumah ke rumah. Kedalaman banjir kira-kira mencapai 1,75 cm dari permukaan. Arus banjir hampir menelan seluruh isi rumah warga, beberapa kerusakan terjadi pada sebagian rumah.
Para siswa yang berdomisili di desa Prupuk Utara kerap menjadi korban. Bertepatan dengan kegiatan Penilaian Formatif Bersama, beberapa siswa yang mengalami musibah banjir terpaksa mengikuti ujian susulan karena kondisi rumah yang tidak memungkinkan. Hal ini menumbuhkan rasa empati segenap warga sekolah, sehingga pada Selasa (27/2) SMAN 1 Margasari menyuluhkan bantuan sosial berupa sembako dalam rangka membantu meringankan para korban banjir.
Kegiatan ini merupakan salah satu implementasi dari profil pelajar pancasila juga visi misi SMAN 1 Margasari yaitu SMANSAGA BERSINAR (Berkarakter Berprestasi Peduli lingkungan Aktual dan Religius). Harapannya dengan adanya kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan kepedulian siswa terhadap lingkup sosial.
