Sejatinya sebuah perayaan selalu identik dengan kemeriahan dan kebahagiaan, begitu juga perayaan HUT SMAN 1 Margasari yang jatuh pada tanggal 12 November 2021. Pada tahun ini SMA telah memasuki usia ke 18. Kegiatan yang rutin dilakukan setiap tahunnya, tentu saja selalu meninggalkan kesan yang mendalam untuk semua kalangan baik guru, karyawan dan para siswa. Walaupun dirayakan dengan sederhana tanpa adanya lomba-lomba yang biasanya diselenggarakan oleh Organisasi Siswa Intra Sekolah (OSIS), para siswa tetap bisa menikmati perayaan ini. Efek Pandemi Covid-19 yang terus berkepanjangan tidak menyurutkan semangat para siswa. Protokol kesehatan yang ketat tetap diberlakukan dengan tetap mematuhi protokol kesehatan. Para siswa sangat antusias mengikuti senam sehat serta apel pagi yang dipimpin oleh Bapak Imam Sujarwanto, S.Pd., M.Pd selaku Bapak Kepala Sekolah. Ditemani suasana yang syahdu, angin yang semilir, serta cuaca yang mendung serta rintik gerimis membuat hati semakin tentram tatkala melihat balon-balon yang diterbangkan dengan membawa sejuta impian dan angan-angan akan kemajuan SMA tercinta ini.
Disisi yang lain, perayaan HUT SMAN 1 Margasari kali ini dijadikan sebagai ajang penghargaan dan pemberian reward terhadap para siswa yang sudah menunjukkan prestasinya baik di bidang akademik maupun non akademik. Seperti halnya ekstrakurikuler PIK-R “Cahaya Kencana” dan ekstrakurikuler Bola Voli. Hal ini dilakukan tentu saja selain memberikan apresiasi yang tinggi terhadap para siswa juga memberikan semangat kepada siswa lainnya agar terpacu motivasinya untuk berprestasi. Sesuai dengan tema yang diangkat oleh Bapak Hadi Prayitno, S.Si selaku Waka Kesiswaan di perayaan HUT kali ini yakni “Sekolah Bermutu Mencetak Generasi Berprestasi dan Berilmu”. Selain itu, reward juga diberikan terhadap siswa siswi teladan yang telah berhasil meraih peringkat paralel baik kelas X, XI dan XII. Tak lupa pula, guru-guru yang telah membimbing ekstrakurikuler tersebut pun mendapatkan reward karena telah membimbing para siswa meraih kesuksesan diantaranya Bapak Drs. Sidik M. Maryana, Bapak Mudakir, S.Pd dan Bapak Himawan Susanto, S.Psi. Sekaligus pemberian reward pula terhadap Operator Sekolah Bapak Heru Setiawan, A.Md atas prestasinya meraih nilai tertinggi Dapodik di Kabupaten Tegal.
Puncak acara HUT SMAN 1 Margasari dilakukan dengan pemotongan tumpeng yang dilakukan oleh Bapak Imam Sujarwanto, S.Pd.,M.Pd untuk kemudian diberikan kepada Bapak Radjasa selaku perwakilan Komite Sekolah.
Dengan diadakannya rangkaian kegiatan HUT kali ini, diharapkan seluruh warga sekolah baik guru, karyawan dan siswa dapat meningkatkan solidaritas, kreativitas dan maju serta mampu menciptakan generasi yang bertakwa, berprestasi, terampil serta berakhlak mulia sesuai dengan Visi SMA N 1 Margasari.
